1. Introduction StockExec ("the Service") is a Google Sheets add-on designed to facilitate a controlled workflow for sending trade-order instructions to brokers. The Service operates entirely within your Google Workspace environment. We do not operate external servers, nor do we sell, rent, or monetize your data.
2. Data Collection and Processing StockExec processes data exclusively to perform the functions you request.
User-Provided Data: The add-on reads specific fields from your active Google Sheet (e.g., Client Name, Symbol, Quantity, Price) to compose emails.
Configuration Data: We store minimal configuration settings in your Apps Script User Properties (specifically
BOUND_SS_IDandOWNER_EMAIL) to link your sheet to your authorized sending account.Automated Logs: The Service may generate a local debug tab within your spreadsheet or update rows with status flags (e.g., "Mailed," timestamps).
We do not collect or transfer your data to external servers. All processing occurs locally within Google’s infrastructure. We do not read your Gmail inbox or file contents outside of the specific spreadsheet you utilize with the add-on.
3. How Your Data is Used Your data is used strictly for the following purposes:
Execution: To compose and send broker instruction emails via the signed-in user's Gmail account (
MailAppservice).Audit: To update the source spreadsheet with execution timestamps and status notes.
Access Control: To validate that the active user matches the configured "Owner" email before permitting sensitive actions.
4. Data Sharing and Disclosure
Brokers: Trade instructions are sent only to the specific broker email addresses you configure in the sheet.
Service Providers: The Service runs on Google Apps Script. Google acts as a data processor for the underlying infrastructure.
Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if strictly required by law, though we generally possess no independent records of your data to disclose.
5. Permissions (Scopes) The Service requests the minimum permissions required to function:
userinfo.email: To verify the identity of the sender.spreadsheets: To read trade details and write audit logs.script.send_mail: To send the instruction email on your behalf.script.container.ui: To display the add-on menu and sidebar.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
Sheet Data: Resides in your Google Drive. You may delete it at any time.
Sent Emails: Stored in your Gmail "Sent" folder according to your personal retention settings.
Configuration: You may clear stored properties by uninstalling the add-on or using the "Reset" function within the add-on menu.
Developer Access: The developer (Arpit Sethi) has no access to your data unless you explicitly share a sheet for support purposes.
7. Limited Use Disclosure StockExec's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements
